I seem to have a good deal of trouble finding free time lately. I graduated Digipen this spring with a BS, RTIS, finally, and moved back to the east coast. My time here was supposed to be a little more.. leisurely for at least the rest of the summer. I ended up taking a temporary position at my alma mater, acting as the IT director's assistant. They were in a difficult position and I happened to be around. I'm happy to help out, but between telecommuting for my position at Gripwire and working there I find myself working from 8am to 10pm most weekdays.

I'm in the process of getting a new place to live out here with a friend. I'm looking the the MA area so that taking a job in the Boston area would be more amenable to my traveling. The place itself looks great from the demo unit they showed. I'll be looking at the actual unit within the next week, and if all goes well, I'll be a Massachusetts resident in the next two weeks.

There are some exciting projects on the horizon at Gripwire that I hope go well in the coming months. Once I'm done with my work here at La Salle, I will hopefully have plenty of time to work on my own game projects that have been stewing for far too long. The sad fact of the matter is when I had all the time in the world to work on stuff like this, I didn't have the skills to do it. And of course now that I do have the skills, I can't be pulled away from employment long enough to work on them.

Here's to hoping for a change in pace pretty soon.
